On this day I was able to see some trains at Ipswich Station with a mate before and after visiting Hatfield Peverel Station. As the Great Eastern Main Line was closed between Ipswich and Norwich for engineering work, passenger trains on the mainline were all terminating at Ipswich to connect with rail replacement buses. A mixture of Mk3 sets and Class 321 units were working the Intercity services between London Liverpool St and Ipswich. Container trains to and from the Port of Felixstowe were being diverted along the southern section of the Great Eastern Main Line. One container train came through just after 10:30 hauled by 66 729, which carries the name 'Derby County'. Later on I spotted 156 418 working an empty stock move through the station which was another nice bonus. I hope you enjoyed watching this video. :)
