Videoplace was an interactive environment developed by Myron Krueger in the 1970s and '80s, pioneering the concept of "artificial reality." It allowed users to interact with computer-generated graphical elements using their bodies, without any wearable devices. Its significance for modern VR lies in its foundational exploration of real-time, intuitive human-computer interaction, influencing concepts like motion tracking, gesture recognition, and the idea of immersive, non-intrusive experiences in today's VR technologies. This video compilation was created to accompany Myron's interview on my podcast, "Immersive Tech Talk" for those "younger" listeners who may have not been around back in the day to know of this important piece of Virtual Reality history!!! I will post a link to the recording of this interview after the live version is posted to Youtube.
