Thorium is so abundant that even a normal roadside has 100 times the normal background and one can see and touch the rock band with about 1% thorium in it. Billy's "Ride for Thorium" was off course planned so that he would pass this amazing place and get a guided tour by the regional geologist. He also met the owner of the mine who described his investments in Thor Energy and other related ventures. He is a local industrialist running a hydro power plant, metal furnace and much more who is keen to see thorium used to produce climate neutral energy for the world. The geologist points at the black drop of oil as a comparison of the energy potential with thorium. Thorium's high energy potential is represented by the green sphere, the size illustrates the energy potential for each. It's amazing that such a small plot of land contains enough energy to power the world and yet there is a village unaware of the potential it is literally sitting on top of.
