The Power of Attention | Consciously Directing Energy

Our ability to direct Attention is immensely powerful. Attention is consciousness directed toward an object and directing energy in this way is a creative act. We are largely in the driving seat of our attention and it can be directed wisely or it can be essentially wasted on trivial things. The modern world presents us with powerful stimuli intelligently designed to attract and demand our attention. Furthermore, outer experiences continually trigger inner world responses that we willingly and oftentimes unnecessarily give too much attention to. Additionally, the rampant and relentless head space oftentimes occupies a busy stream of thought that we pay enormous attention to throughout the day, ultimately missing the present moment.
