In security news, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu issued a report stating that the pupils and staff abducted from Saint Mary's Private Catholic School in Niger State will soon be reunited with their families. In another development, the Peoples Democratic Party responded to Governor Ademola Adeleke's resignation from the party, stating that Adeleke remains the only cleared and screened aspirant ahead of the 2026 election. It comes as Adeleke resigned from the party, citing the current crisis with national leadership. The development comes after Adeleke's third anniversary broadcast, in which he presented his administration's key achievements including repaying inherited pensions, rehabilitating healthcare centres, and moving Osun State from 33rd to 7th place in national examination rankings.
