I polished the aluminum trim on my trolley with California Purple Polish. I made sure to use their Aluminum Deoxidizer first. Two weeks later, I keep finding white spots on vinyl of my trolley from places I accidentally got polish. Maybe I should've put painter's tape where I was polishing. The polish on the trim was easy, but doing the inside was torture after awhile! The trolley I bought is not ATLAS standard so I can't find replacement drawers. However, I believe it was made in the Netherlands (that's the address on one of the plates) by Zodiac Aerospace. According to Wikipedia, they went out of business in 2018, so it could be valuable??? https://www.etsy.com/listing/10011201... Here is the listing for the ATLAS standard trolley. https://www.etsy.com/listing/99484904... MySky Cart sells ATLAS standard Trolleys and accessories https://myskycart.com/ I built 4 wooden drawers using the dimensions of my plastic drawers as a guide. Here's a quick list of the measurements: Front (5/16" thick): 5 1/4" x 11 7/8" Sides (5/16" thick): 4 5/8" x 12 5/8" *Removed 1/2" x 1/16" notch to fit aluminum trim channel Back (5/16" thick): 4 5/8" x 10 7/8" Bottom (3/4" thick): 11 3/4" x 13" Inner Bracket, 3/4" Aluminum Solid Angle: 10" Front Decoration, 3/8" Aluminum Trim Channel: 11 7/8" #4 x 3/4" Wood Screws (13 total for 1 Drawer) #6 x 3/8" Metal Screws (8 total for 1 Drawer) I put together my first drawer without a corner clamp and it was difficult. I highly recommend one. I bought this one from Lowe's from Pony. Pony's Corner and Splicing Clamp https://ponyjorgensen.com/product/pon... I used drawer tape or Squeak Reduction Polyethylene Tape from TapeCase so the drawers would slide out easily. 1" x 5 yards is about enough to cover the bottom of 6 drawers. https://www.amazon.com/TapeCase-423-3... I split this video project into several parts. PART 1: Unboxing, Removing Rivets, Cleaning Wheels PART 2: De-anodizing and Sanding Aluminum Trim PART 3: Patching Dents, Adhesion Test, Primer 94, Vinyl Wrapping, Replacing Rivets PART 4: Polishing Aluminum, Before and After, Making Drawers, Trolley Bar Cart Here is a link to the playlist of these four videos! • Project: Restoring Airline Trolley MUSIC: "Reset" by Vyen (downloaded on YouTube's Audio Library)
