How to Create Detailed Realistic Grass Blades Up Close in the Foreground Landscape in Oil Painting

Sometimes when you paint grass in the foreground you have to get detailed! In this video I show how I did a small patch of grass up close in the painting I am currently working on, which is oil on a 11 by 14 inch canvas! The trick is layering, where you block out colors and then do a layer of wet on wet follow by wet on dry.... with a dash of patience since you will need it! More about that in the video! This is definitely one of my most complex paintings I have done and I am almost done... I just need to touch up a few things (possibly the grass too). So stay tune for the final time lapse video!
