The Sahagin priestess is an NPC character that appears in a tavern in D&D. She sounded like an interesting character and I couldnt help myself so I wanted to sculpt her. As with most of my work she is being sculpted as a 32mm scale miniature (32mm for an average human male measuring from the bottom of the foot to the eye line whilst in a neutral pose). all of the details are sculpted thinking about the painting experience of the end user, and also the fact that this is a gaming piece that may be handled fairly regularly. details need to be representative in scale rather than perfect likenesses. we're working with a minimum wall thickness of around 1-1.2mm when printed to ensure that parts don't break easily. On a final note, this whole sculpt took about 4 hours of real time sculpting, but I've been doing digital sculpts in zbrush refining my techniques since 2010 and sculpting miniatures in epoxy putty for around 10 years before that.
