Rainbow Mini Charm Square Quilt - Part One

A colour wash rainbow quilt made from mini charm squares! In this video, I’m planning the layout, choosing the background sashing fabric, and starting to piece the front of the quilt. Colour coordination is key here, and arranging the mini charms into their final layout was more of a challenge than I expected! I wanted the colours and patterns to be evenly spread, which took some time. And when it comes to the backing fabric… well, if you’ve watched my videos before, you might be surprised by my choice! This project has been in the works for a while, I picked up the mini charm packs at the CraftAlive show in Canberra back in May 2024. I thought I’d dive in right away, but here we are, nine months later! Luckily, everything came together, even down to finding some perfectly coordinating fabrics at a charity shop. Sometimes, fabric fate just steps in!
