Flower Power: ReMember to Blossom is a guided Indigenous mindfulness and expressive arts practice offered in collaboration with Phyrra Jean Gravelin of Life As Medicine. This session invites us into a slow, relational process of remembering our place within a living web of connection. Through one-line drawing, breath, prayer, and reflection, we explore relationship with our heart core, Earth Mother, Sky World, ancestors, descendants, and the elemental beings of air, fire, water, and earth. Rather than striving for a finished image, this practice emphasizes presence, safety, and curiosity. Participants are invited to move gently between inner and outer worlds, spiraling outward to connect with sources of support and spiraling back inward to restore well-being. This is a deeply resourcing practice that can be returned to again and again. This session is suitable for artists, meditators, facilitators, therapists, and anyone seeking grounded, relational mindfulness rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing. Summary In this session, we are guided through the Flower Power practice as a form of Indigenous mindfulness and relational remembering. We begin by opening a ceremonial space, calling in ancestors, descendants, Earth Mother, Sky World, and the elemental beings. Using a continuous line drawing, we explore our heart core as the center of well-being and connection. Through slow looping movements on the page, we reflect on nourishment, safety, belonging, and transformation. Each “petal” of the flower represents a relationship that supports life, including earth, sky, ancestors, descendants, air, fire, water, plants, and animals. We also explore edges, boundaries, and the importance of cycling between giving and receiving. The practice closes by inviting reflection, journaling, or further creative expression, allowing insights and messages to continue unfolding beyond the session.
