We hosted the November edition of the ACTnet Asia-Pacific Regional TB Journal Club on Wednesday, 5 November, from 1:00–2:00 PM (AEDT). We were delighted to welcome Associate Professor Sarah Bernays and Duy Trinh-Hoang as guest speakers for this session. Sarah is a global health anthropologist at the University of Sydney whose work focuses on community engagement in HIV and TB care across regions including Africa, Asia, and the Pacific. She is also Co-Director of Sydney’s Master of Global Health and Director of Social Sciences at THRU-Zimbabwe. Duy is a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney, with experience leading community engagement initiatives for TB research in Vietnam. Duy's work explores how Community Advisory Boards (CAB) can support more person-centred TB care. In this session, they discussed the following topic and paper: “Examining the challenges in sustaining user engagement with a mobile app to enhance multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) care in Vietnam and its implications for implementing person-centred mHealth interventions” Read the paper here: https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pgph.....
