Few know or recognise that the Spittals found throughout Scotland and especially in the Lennox were once the lands of an ancient order of Knights, who in turn had them given to them after the banishing of another Christian order. This short video focusses on one Spittal, which lies between Balloch and Gartocharn villages, but the story is the same for them all, more or less.
