Pre-engineered buildings are the most common type of steel building and widely used for commercial structures like large warehouse, factory shed or office buildings. Due to it's extra advantages and cost effectiveness, PEB structures are now more popular in the construction industry. In this new series on modelling, analysis and design of PEB structure, I will cover various modelling techniques, using STAAD analytical as well as the physical modeler, discuss how to generate the 3d model correctly and reuse the geometry information to assign specification, property and design parameters. Also I will introduce several custom templates which can help us in modelling. In this video, I will discuss about different types of gravity load including dead and live load, and how to apply these loads correctly using group. Load application on an inclined floor is a bit tricky, range option is not suitable for floor load. I have covered how we can use floor group to apply load on an inclined roof.
