KMS Nürnberg - The Last German Cruiser

War Prizes are nothing new. During the Age of Sail, basically every navy pressed captured warships into service. This did fall out of favor a bit in the age of steel, but not entirely. One such example was Nürnberg, a German light cruiser. And a ship that actually served longer under the Soviet flag than she did the German one. After a largely quiet second world war, the ship was taken by the Soviets as a war prize. And as Admiral Makarov, she would last about fifteen years before being scrapped. No mean feat, when looking at other contemporary war prizes. Like, say, Prinz Eugen.
