This video is a compilation of two years of filming on the Nantucket, bringing together the highlights into one compilation. It captures my beautiful home — Nantucket. When deciding that this song should have a video I floated a couple of ideas until I asked myself what this song really represents to me. When I realized this song reminded me of home and that the lyrics are painting a picture of the island and subconsciously telling stories from my summers on the island. I knew I had to go all out and dedicate all the best footage I had been collecting from the island to it. While editing this video, I tried to capture my personal vision of Nantucket — what it means to me and the images that come to mind when I think of the island. After a while, I came to the realization that Nantucket is in fact the ‘Pretty One.’ I usually don’t play favorites with my songs or videos, but this one stands out. What makes it so special to me is that I hadn’t even planned to make a music video for this song — it just came together naturally with filming over the years and then realizing that the footage I had worked perfectly for this video. When shooting another music video with Mario Orozco, we also got the shots of me in the car and of me running down the beach, which you now see in this music video. The rest of the shots of me on the beach, and in general, are shot by me. This video would not have been possible without the help of Nantucket Community Television (NCTV) for allowing me to use their equipment. They have always been so generous and I am grateful there is a place like this on the island. This video also would not have been possible without Cambridge Community Television (CCTV) support and access to their equipment. CCTV was one of the first places in Boston where I truly felt at home, thanks to the welcoming people and great environment. This song and video means the world to me. Wow, can't believe it's out.
