EP 101 Simple Minds - Waterfront "Waterfront" is a song written and performed by Simple Minds released as the first single from their sixth album "Sparkle in the Rain". This is good practice for your picking/plucking technique! The adage "it's a lot harder than it looks" is especially true with this one! I used my "mutt" Stingray for this track (OLP Stingray body with a G&L L-2000 tribute neck and an EMG MMCS pickup) and used fingers throughout. I recorded into Reason using my Steinberg UR44C interface. Tonally I used compression and a little chorus on the tone to help it sit in the mix. The footage was filmed using a Samsung A52 smartphone in "Pro Video" mode. The onscreen tab was created by synching the Guitar Pro file with the audio track using Go PlayAlong 4 and capturing the result using NCH Debut.
