Padma Shri awardee and renowned photographer Pepita Seth formally became an Indian citizen on Friday at the age of 84. The British-born writer and photographer, widely known as Kerala’s adopted daughter, received her citizenship certificate from Thrissur District Collector Arjun Pandian at a ceremony held at the Collectorate. Pepita Seth, who brought Kerala’s culture, temples, elephants, and artistic traditions to global attention, described the moment as deeply emotional and a source of great pride. Honoured with the Padma Shri in 2012, she has lived in Thrissur for decades and has often called it her true home. #southfirst #trendingvideo #viralvideo #trending #kerala #keralanews #thrissur #thrissurnews South First — as the name suggests — aims to provide accurate and non-partisan news from South India; and more importantly, create a platform for informed analysis of politics and policy in the Southern States, and for serious scrutiny of federalism.
