For the album, she employed producers Stargate, Bloodpop, and Sophie. This album was intended to have a cute, more electronic sound. The first teaser of the era came with the Vroom Vroom EP, produced by Sophie. Next cam the singles After the Afterparty and boys. Frustrated with her label, Charli put out a mixtape, Number One Angel, in the interim. Her album was delayed several times, until it was leaked. Subsequently, Charli's label scrapped the album, and fans never got an official version of songs like Taxi, Bounce, Come to My Party, or Waterfall. However, that summer, Charlie did release monthly singles inlcuding Focus, No Angel, Girls Night Out, and 5 in the Morning. After releasing Pop 2, another mixtape, Charli started fresh with her third album, which was her self-titled project. While touring for her 4th album, Crash, Charli has performed several songs from XCX World.
