This week skiing at Vail, Keystone, and Beaver Creek was SO much fun. We haven't always been a part of the budget ski crowd, but with the amount of travel we are doing continuing to increase, we were determined to find a way to still use our ski passes as much as we want and not have to go broke on the mountain. **Fire Maple Stove (we used to make coffee, ramen, and oats): https://firemaplegear.com/pages/bfcm?... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ First, we went to Keystone, which we ended up rating as our top pick over any other Epic / Vail Resorts mountain off of I-70. Keystone was also the EASIEST mountain to have a budget-friendly ski trip at. Next, we went to Vail. Vail was... different. The Vail Village was beyond charming, but the mountain wasn't all we were chalking it up to be. We couldn't find free parking, we couldn't find a proper water bottle refill station, and due to all of the terrain not being opened up yet, we had to take A LOT of catwalks to get back to the base we parked at. We rated Vail 3rd on our list of Epic mountains off of I-70. Lastly, we went to Beave Creek. Beaver Creek was lovely. The snow was great, the runs were fun, the parking wasn't free but wasnt rediculously priced, the village was adorable, and we were able to budget hack. Beaver Creek had water bottle refills and an open seating lodge/restaurant where we were able to eat the lunch from our backpack. We rated Beaver Creek #2 with the note that it could easily become our #1 because.... THEY HAVE FREE COOKIES AT 3PM. At the Centennial Base area, these people come out every day at 3pm in Chef's hats with big silver platters of cookies!!! A seriously cool perk to Beaver Creek. Beaver Creek also had 0 lines on a SATURDAY! Which is unheard of even on a Monday at Vail or Breckenridge. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Let us know in the comments which of our Budget Meals was your favorite! #travel #budgettravel #ski #snowboarding
