This stop on my 30-Day Road Trip through Colorado and Utah brought me back to one of my favorite mountain towns — Steamboat Springs. Instead of camping this time, I stayed with a friend and spent the day exploring some of the incredible riding and scenery around the area. One of my favorite rides in Steamboat is along the Yampa River Core Trail, a peaceful path that winds through town following the river for miles with beautiful mountain views. We also spent time riding up Buff Pass and exploring trails in the Steamboat Lake area — quiet backcountry roads and forest trails surrounded by wide open valleys and alpine landscapes.
