In this sermon for the Third Sunday of Epiphany, we hear Jesus’ simple but disruptive invitation: “Follow me.” Drawing from Matthew 4:12–22 and 1 Corinthians 1:10–17, this message explores how God’s revelation always comes with a summons—calling us to leave old allegiances, loosen our grip on comfort, and walk together in the light of Christ. Following Jesus doesn’t always mean abandoning what is bad. Often, it means releasing what has quietly become ultimate. In this sermon, we reflect on: • Why Jesus’ call often changes our direction before it changes our destination • How discipleship disrupts comfort but leads to transformation • Why following Jesus is never merely individual, but always communal Epiphany reminds us that Jesus is not only someone to believe in—He is someone to follow. Scripture Readings: Matthew 4:12–22 1 Corinthians 1:10–17 If you’re exploring faith, returning to church, or seeking to follow Jesus more faithfully, we’re glad you’re here.
