This week is a prime example. Our good friends at WDCB suggested I approach Peter about performing at the Whiskey Lounge. I checked out his video clips online and spoke with him a couple of times, and I'm really eager to hear him perform live. Peter is a super-talented guitarist who has kept excellent company. He has played with Ramsey Lewis, Lee Konitz, Gladys Knight, Bootsie Collins and Orbert Davis. Not all at the same time, I presume, but we'll confirm that on Thursday. Peter will be joined by a fine young bassist, Aaron Mitter. I look forward to welcoming them both to our stage for the first time, and I must say, it is such a pleasure to have fine musicians show up in our neighborhood week after week for us all to enjoy and explore together.
