Woodturning - The Broken Idigbo Bowl

Welcome back to this weeks woodturning video folks! In this woodworking video I use a woodturning lathe to turn a block of Idigbo into a small utility bowl, but the thing fell apart on me so it ended up quite a bit shallower than intended!👇 Links to tools/materials below👇 TOOLS/EQUIPMENT If you are interested in the tools and equipment I use in this video you can find all the information you need here: 👉 https://kit.co/mikeparsonscc 👈 This piece of Idigbo is a bowl blank from English Woods UK and has some really course grain that was a challenge to turn. This is my first time turning Idigbo and it fought me the entire time. No matter how many times I went back to sharpen my tools there were catches and tear out. The block was very dry too so it was an interesting exercise in patience... and sanding! 😂 There was a lot of experimentation during this woodturning project to try and find the shape I wanted within the blank and allow the final piece to make the best use of the features and grain.
