She was brought up in an opposing religious environment at home, where her father was a devote Hindu and her mother, though a born Hindu, lenient towards Christian faith. In the absence of her father, Vennila Devi learned about Christian principles from her mother and started liking it. Like all her elder sisters, she too wanter to become a medical doctor and earned a medical degree from Tirunelveli Medical College. Dr. Vennila specialised in Test Tube Baby technology and is very successful in her career. Married to Mr. Kingsly, she has a lovely daughter in the school going age. Along with her profession, Dr. Vennila Kingsly is devoting her spare time to gospel work through Abaca Ministries that she started to meet her evangelical objectives.
