I have become such a huge fan of circuit style training when it comes to my rehab rehabilitation from stroke/TBI. Paralysis is no joke, and I truly believe that multiple opposing compound movements is one of the greatest ways to regain coordination, strength, and balance. Busting out pull-ups and push-ups, along with deep air squats is no easy feat and not necessary nor the only way to do a circuit workout. I wanted to provide an approach to circuit style training that is much more palatable and achievable for earlier stages of recovery. Getting our heart rates up and breaking a sweat is something we all deserve, however, it can be extremely challenging with limited mobility. Here is an experimental approach to a circuit workout that I believe will help many of you. Do not get discouraged while doing this, be patient with yourself and know that you are doing yourself a great service by pushing yourself to complete such a task. THIS IS STILL GOING TO BE A CHALLENGE, but I hope you will give it a shot and watch yourself grow in your reclamation💪
