After getting our camping van out of the shop two days earlier, we loaded it up for a trip down into the desert back country. The drive was going great until I realized I was leaking gear oil profusely and couldn't get the transaxle fill plug removed to check the level. We found a place to camp where I was finally able to get the plug off to find that the transaxle was full of oil and had likely been overfilled. We did some Firebox cooking, pizzas with our fry pan mess kit and rice Ramen from @lotusfoods with the Firebox Billy and of course a nice cup of coffee. We thought we would have smooth sailing so we went back into a remote Sandstone canyon and after some technical river crossings I stalled the van in deep sand and was unable to get it restarted. Luckily, some Good Samaritans from Blanding, Utah helped us out with a capable Toyota Tacoma, a winch, tow strap and a lot of muscle. They towed us to a spot along the highway where we were able to contact Triple A for a ride home.
