Jeffco Public Schools creates supportive learning environments for neurodivergent students—those whose brains process information differently than what is considered "typical." Following students with autism spectrum disorder at Betty Adams Elementary, Bell Middle School and Standley Lake High School, we see specialized Autism Center programs that balance individualized support with meaningful inclusion in general education classrooms. Through adaptive classroom designs, para-educator support, and sensory accommodations, these schools embody Jeffco's commitment to belonging (where all students feel safe, accepted and valued) and equity (recognizing different starting points for students and providing individualized supports). Teachers, administrators and students themselves share how these inclusive practices create communities where differences are celebrated and every student has the opportunity to thrive. --------------------- Subscribe to JPS-TV today: http://bit.ly/1Ea8BVw Facebook: http://on.fb.me/1DirYuN Twitter: @JeffcoSchoolsCo JPS-TV is the official, Emmy® nominated YouTube channel for the Jefferson County Public Schools Communications Department.
