A good contact point is critical for high quality, powerful groundstrokes. The better we are able to track and meet the ball in front of us, the easier it is to return our opponent's force, absorb and redirect power. I emphasize the contact point because if you understand where it is, you will naturally set up your shots better and feel a smoother, easier swing. Poor hand eye coordination or ball tracking skills will lead us to the wrong contact point, and a bad contact point cannot be overcome. No amount of good technique will overcome a bad contact point.
