Dorchester Man Arrested by Boston Police on Firearms Charges Following Traffic Stop

At about 2:00 AM, on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, Officers assigned to B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Reginald Sean Anderson, 22, of Dorchester, on firearm charges. Officers were on patrol in the area of Eire St. and Washington St. when they observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in wet and dangerous weather conditions. They activated their emergency lights and sirens to conduct a traffic stop. Officers identified the driver of the vehicle and a query revealed the operator to be driving with a suspended license. An investigation following the traffic stop was conducted by Officers and Detectives assigned to B-2, which resulted in the recovery of a firearm from the vehicle’s glove box compartment. The firearm recovered from the glove box was a Smith & Wesson SD- 9, and 16 (9 MM) rounds in the magazine.
