Juvenile Caught and Arrested on Gun Charges in Boston After Running from Boston Police

On Friday, February 17, 2023 Officers from the Boston Housing Police, along with members of the Boston Police Gang Unit made an arrest of a 15 year old juvenile while on routine patrol of the Housing Projects near the area of 275 Centre Street. Officers from Boston's Housing Police recognized the 15 year old juvenile male. He had been arrested a few month prior for breaking and entering, as well as having been trespassed from the property. When officers approached the suspect to speak with him about his continued trespassing, he fled on foot, clutching his waste. Officers gave chase and with help from Boston's Gang Unit, caught the suspect and took him into custody pending an investigation. Upon searching the suspect, officers discovered a firearm in his waste. The weapon was determined to be a Taurus G2c 9mm semi-automatic handgun. The weapon was fully loaded with one round in the chamber and 12 rounds in the magazine. The 15 year old juvenile suspect was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Tresspassing. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
