The A6M5 Zero was probably most well known for it's carrier operations, and especially in the battle of the Pacific (starting with Pearl Harbor), and by the end of the war for it's use in Kamikazi attacks. It was first manufactured by Mistubishi in 1940, before the majority were produced by Nakajima. Orignally a very deadly fighter, with a 12:1 kill ration, it was soon surpassed by US aircraft in terms of performance, thoguh it remained a formidable opponent in dog-fights. *Apologies, this was released a day earlier than expected, and so had no information with it.
