Comet BPX 25 Soft Wash System Making a video since there’s not much out there with the new BPX 25 pump. Why the Comet BPX25 May Be the Better Option for Some Pressure Washing Companies Compared to the AR45 or P40 The BPX25 can be the better fit for many residential focused companies. It is not because it replaces the AR45 or P40. It is because it fills a different need and solves a different problem which is less flow and more control. Price Advantage for Entry Level Companies When the BPX25 is paired with a CXR or Predator engine, the price often stays in the $1,200 to $1,700 range. This makes it a strong option for newer or budget conscious companies that want a gas soft wash system without jumping straight to a $2,000 plus setup. Engine Choice Matters If someone chooses the Honda engine with electric start, some may argue just get an AR45 or P40. Better Low Pressure Control Compared to the P40 The main reason some companies will prefer the BPX25 is the ability to throttle down and keep smooth, controlled pressure in the lower range. The P40 is excellent at high flow, but when you try to bring it down to gentle settings, it feels too strong and then suddenly drops off and goes limp. The BPX25 holds pressure more consistently at low power, which is ideal for • Avoiding overspray • Working in tight residential settings Similar Punch With Slightly Less Reach Both machines hit around 230 psi safely (without damaging pump). The AR45 or P40 will reach a few feet farther because of the flow, but the difference is not huge. BPX25 Better Fit for Companies That Mostly Downstream For companies that do mostly residential downstreaming, the extra flow of the P40 does not provide a major benefit because you are not using the gas system to wash the house. The P40 is the high flow option for companies that want maximum volume for commercial work or if they are using it to wash houses. The BPX25 is the controlled, budget friendly option that still has solid power and pairs well with residential workflows. Gun Choice • Suttner 510 which is perfect for excellent control and tight angles. • Red gun and blue gun which are not my favorite but they work. • Water Boss which is my favorite general use and the most common choice. My Preference Downstream- My preference will always be downstreaming with a 10 GPM pressure washer, Pulsar PLSRZ2140 half inch flow sensitive unloader, FlowPro remote chemical bypass, Water Boss gun, and a downstream proportioner. That is my go to setup. Due to that, the BPX25 is perfect for me because it gives me the ability to throttle down and have more control in delicate situations when I need a stronger mix. Otherwise I can downstream, which works in 95% of cases in my area which is Charleston South Carolina. Overall, the BPX is a good choice depending on your goals and preferences. The control of a 12 V, with the ability to throw a serious GPM. Here is a video of my previous AR 45- • HOA Pressure Washing: Johns Island, SC If you look through my shorts, if you see the orange gun with the blue hose, it’s the AR 45 for reference. Most of those videos are further back.
