Join us for a relaxed afternoon walk around Legian, one of Bali’s most iconic neighbourhoods and long known as the heart of “Australian Town.” We start our walk from Padma Utara Street, a lively strip famous for its strong Australian Connection—a bond built over years between Aussie travellers and the friendly local traders who call this area home. From there, we wander into Sahadewa Street, better known to visitors as Garlic Lane. This narrow but iconic laneway is always buzzing with scooters, shoppers, and pedestrians, linking Padma Street straight through to bustling Melasti Street on the edge of Kuta. We continue along Melasti Street, a busy road that feels surprisingly neat and well-organised, with smooth asphalt and tidy footpaths. Then we head down to Legian Main Street, the major artery connecting Seminyak, Legian, and Kuta—full of shops, bars, and restaurants that keep the area lively day and night. The walk takes us back through Padma Street, leading toward the legendary Padma Hotel and the gateway to Legian Beach. From here, we follow Legian Beach Road, where tourists stroll toward the sand, many staying at the big beachfront hotels that line the road. Once we reach the beach, the famous Australian Connection becomes even more visible—Aussies chatting warmly with local vendors, familiar faces greeting each other, and the Australian and Indonesian flags flying proudly side by side.
