Bangladesh Chicken Curry Pasties Ingredients: 1 Box Puff Pastry 1 Pound Chicken thighs: Boneless & Skinless 1 lrg Sweet onion 2 Garlic Cloves 1 TBSP Ginger Thai Chilies; To Taste 1 Packets of Masala Magic spice 1 TBSP Corn starch 1 TBSP Oil (Anything but EVOO) 8 oz Chicken Broth 1 tsp Chicken bouillon powder 1/8 Tsp Ground Cinnamon 1 TBSP Butter 1 lrg Egg 1 TBSP Water Salt & Pepper; To Taste Directions: 1. Mince the garlic, grade the ginger, dice the onion and chop the Thai chilies 2. Chop the chicken into cubes and place in a bowl 3. To the bowl add the Masala packet, corn starch and a squirt of oil; stir until well blended 4. In a skillet melt the butter, add the onions, cinnamon and a touch of salt. 5. Once the onions are translucent; add the garlic and ginger. 6. Cook for 60 seconds; until you can smell the garlic and ginger 7. Remove the onion mixture from the pan 8. Deglaze the pan with a little chicken stock 9. Add the oil to the pan, once warm add the chicken 10. Cook until chicken is done 11. Add the chicken bouillon, the rest of the chicken broth and Thai chilies to the pan, stir until it thickens 12. Taste and add more seasoning if needed 13. Allow it to stew for 5-10 minutes 14. Preheat oven to 400F/204C 15. Put the chicken mixture in a bowl, cover and refrigerate until it has cooled 16. Make the egg wash; mix the egg and water together and beat until well blended 17. Roll out the puff pastry 18. Cut into the shapes your desired shape 19. Place a spoon full of the chicken mixture onto the pastry 20. Fold it and pinch it shut, place onto baking pan 21. Put pan in the Fidge for a couple minutes 22. Once pastry is cool, remove it from the fridge, brush it with the egg wash 23. Bake for 12-15 minutes. 24.
