At just 15 years old, Mia Jeannopoulos is a ballet dancer, nonprofit founder, and fierce advocate for access. In this inspiring TEDx talk, she reveals how ballet shaped her identity—and how the barriers she witnessed pushed her to take action. Through her program Pointe of Possibility, Mia brings free ballet classes, shoes, and instructors directly into Title I schools, proving that talent is universal but opportunity is not. She challenges us to rethink what “the future” really means: it’s not far away—it begins locally, with the choices we make for children right now. “The stage we unlock today determines who gets to stand on it tomorrow.” #TEDx #Access #YouthLeadership #Ballet #Equity #MiaJeannopoulos Youth SpeakerMia Jeannopoulos is a 15-year-old junior and the founder of Pointe of Possibility, a nonprofit bringing free ballet classes to underserved youth. She serves as Secretary for Youth in Government, is a core member of Florida’s Student School Board Member Initiative, and represents Brown Girls Do Ballet as a Youth Ambassador. A Girl Scout for eight years, Mia continues her service as Youth Leader for Friends of Paradis des Indiens, supporting schools in Haiti. She hopes to pursue a career in foreign service.
