Allelys “Train Truckers” deliver Class 66 to Multimodal 2021 @NEC Birmingham

Allelys Heavy Haulage load Freighliner Locomotive 66587 “As One, We Can” at Tysley Locomotive Works in Birmingham. The locomotive wearing the pink livery of logistics partner ONE (Ocean Network Express) is aptly named “As One, We Can”. Allelys we’re tasked with delivering the locomotive (weighing 125-130t dependant upon fluid levels & loco spec) to the Multimodal Logistics exhibition, which took place in hall 2 of the NEC between 19th & 21st October 2021. The locomotive was loaded onto a 13 axle Goldhofer modular trailer in draw bar configuration via a purpose built ramp. Once loaded Allelys latest 580hp MAN TGX 8X4 ballast tractor, T800 AHH hauled the locomotive 10miles to the National Exhibition Centre. Once inside Hall 2 a temporary track panel was laid, an unloading ramp was constructed and the locomotive was dechained and winched down on to its temporary track panel.
