Car: 1996 Honda EK Civic, K24A 225HP N/A Driver : Mark Seguna Best recorded time of the day : 1:44.66 Date 29/09/2023, 8:30PM 17° Dry Tyres - Yokohama Advan A050 Medium - 245/40/17 (F) 215/45/17 (R) Been a month since my last track day, however we are finally back for Send It 8. The car remains the same setup wise however i decided to go a bit Hollywood and install a Motec Dash with Data Logging so i am able to analyze more data from my sessions in greater detail. Hopefully this will help me find those precious tenths later on at the pointy end. The temp during the day was 32°C and by night time it had cooled down, perfect track weather. The track was green and there was grip to be found everywhere, even on these 75+ lap old front and 150+ lap old rear A050 Straight out the gate did a 1:45.5 and followed to back up next session with a 1:45.2. Third session went 1:45.0. So close to breaking into the 1:44's. All those sessions was showing 1:44s predictive but traffic, or small mistakes hindered me from getting in the time i was chasing. Fourth session i collected myself and went out again. Pumped out the 1:44.66 PB and on the following lap was .5 up on previous lap before catching traffic (4 cars) into turn 6 and aborted the lap. Session 5 and final session for the night - went out and got into the groove. Predictive time showing .8 up on PB lap on target for a 1:43.8 but the last corner curse strikes again and i mis-shifted into N and lost time. Cross the line for a 1:44.70. Would of been nice to end at the 1:43s but we will get there eventually :) Thanks again to BYP Racing for the amazing car setup and encouragement. Also thank you to Lachlan Mineeff for the coaching on the night! Enjoy the in-car footage from PB Lap. Filmed with GoPro 11 Black in 4K.
