The Audio Note second highest model OTO se phono signature is the best sound I have heard throughout all the years. And yes my version is without the Cathode Bias that Audio Note use, and has a shorter signal with better parts. So maybe 20% better than the standard model. But this is the amplifier design in the world that most likely will never be beaten for the price. Assuming you are in this hobby to get the highest level of naturality. If you are just here for best positioning of sound and exact proportion, clarity, separation, black level, grip; then instead go for Gryphon or something similar like Dartzeel or Nagra, or maybe even block audio or Emm Labs... But the price for that sound is 50% the sound quality of this amp in my opinion. Disclaimer; I don´t doubt that the Legend amplifier from Audio Note will beat this in every single aspect in terms of sound. But it also costs about 250x more, so to me that is besides the point.
