Low back pain with sciatica is one of the most common conditions people experience—and one of the most commonly searched musculoskeletal issues online. If you've ever felt pain that travels from your low back into your hip, thigh, or even down into your foot, you may have experienced sciatic nerve irritation. Sciatica is a term used to describe nerve-related pain that radiates down the leg. It can show up as sharp pain, burning, numbness, tingling, or pins-and-needles sensations. For many people, it can become extremely uncomfortable and interfere with everyday activities like sitting, walking, or sleeping. By the time most people start looking for help, they’ve usually already tried several things on their own. It’s common to try medications, massage tools, or online exercise routines in hopes of relieving the pain. While these approaches can sometimes provide temporary relief, they often miss an important piece of the puzzle: identifying the true cause of the sciatic pain. Not all sciatica is the same. In fact, sciatic symptoms can come from several different underlying issues.
