Fun roll for a couple old ladies, going back and forth trading dominance. We had so much fun. I can't watch this without laughing out loud many times. I love this woman. At the time this was filmed, Julie had turned 66 yrs old the month before and I had just turned 59 yrs old. A few weeks after this match, we each were awarded 2 stripes on our white belts after 7 months of training. This was our last match before I had to have foot surgery. UPDATE: shortly after this was filmed I had the surgery. I rehabbed quickly and was back on the mat within 5 weeks. 3 months later I was in a near fatal head-on collision requiring multiple orthopedic surgeries. I had to learn to walk again. God performed a miracle and I was rehabbed partially- and back on the mat 5 months later. It's been a hard recovery, with an additional ACL tear. in December 2023 Julie (the tall one) earned her blue belt. I'm behind, but I earned my 4th stripe. I'm working on my blue belt now. When appropriate, I'll post a re-match!
