Willie, Sarah and their dogs, Jack Spaniels & Nori, left their suburban life and moved over the sea to a remote cottage on the Isle of Skye, in the Scottish Highlands. Here we grow our own food, do renovation projects, explore the stunning landscapes, take trips in our wee boat, work on our rusty but reliable Land Rover Defender, forage for wild food and generally try to live a slower, simpler pace of life. This week the Skye Lifers wait with bated breath to see how their locally found crystals and gemstones turn out in the rock tumbler - but will they turn out beautifully or will they need a bit more polishing..? Plus, we've been back out in Betty the Boat, as she is reinstated to her rightful place on the open sea, and we cook up a yummy seafood supper in the newly renovated cottage kitchen. Sarah, Willie, Jack & Nori xx Crab Cake Recipe: 260g crab meat 120g bread crumbs (NOT 170…😅) 2 tsp lemon juice 1 medium egg 1 tblsp parsley 2 tblsp chives 2 tblsp mayo 1 tsp Tabasco S&P to taste Combine all the ingredients, except the olive oil, in a bowl and shape into patties. Refrigerate for 30 mins to firm up, before frying in the olive oil on a medium heat for a few minutes on each side until golden brown.
