Ingredients Rice flour – 1 ½ cup Grated coconut- 1 cup Sugar – ½ cup Cardamom pods- Bay leaves – 10 to12 Ghee – 2 to 3 tbsp Method First we have to grate the coconut and set aside. Then crush the cardamom and set aside. Heat water in a pan add salt and ghee boil them well. Then add rice flour and combine them well and to form a smooth dough Remove from fire and transfer it into a bowl When it's warm enough to handle, knead into a smooth, soft dough. Cover and rest for 10 minutes. Heat water in a steamer vessel cover and boil them well. Take grated coconut bowl add sugar and cardamom powder mix them well. Make cones from the Bay leaves using a toothpick. Leave the upper edge of the leaf to close the cone Take a small lemon sized dough and flatten it into a small oval shape. Place one spoon of filling inside and fold it slightly the dough Place this on the inner side of a bay leaf and fold/cover it with the leaf. Repeat with remaining dough and filling. Arrange the bay leaf-wrapped dumplings in a steamer. Steam for about 10–15 minutes on medium heat until the rice coating is cooked and firm. Ones it is cooked well,remove from heat and set a side. Serve the Kerala Style Steamed Rice Flour Dumplings along with tea
