Discover What Br Chrysostom Vowed in a Monastery of Christ!

On the last Saturday of March, which marks the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, our dear Brother Chrysostom made his solemn vows of obedience, stability, and conversion of life. He dedicated himself as a monk of Christ in the Desert during the Mass, which was held in the presence of Abbot Christian and our fellow brethren in our church. The occasion was graced by the attendance of approximately sixty loved ones and friends of Brother Chrysostom and our monastery. Following the profession Mass, we all indulged in a delightful and celebratory meal provided by the excellent “Whole Hog Caterers” of Santa Fe. The joyful feast was accompanied by lively conversations and even a group singalong! Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Brother Chrysostom has found his permanent home in the heart of the Chama Canyon wilderness, where he contemplates and meditates as a monk. He dutifully serves our community in various roles, including as the Guestmaster and Director of Development. As for myself, I am Br.
