In this video I show you my method I’ve been using for years to clean my Vintage 1980s Big Rubber LJN WWF Wrestling Figures with out taking any more paint off the figures painted on clothing. I use a dremel with a light weight black bristle attachment lightly gliding over the parts that have the big paint spots from smashing the figures together as kids used to do and I use a magic eraser to clean the dirt and grime on the figures from either dropping, dirty hands, being stored in dirty spots etc. I use a dollar store simple green solution with a splash of windex third of a cup of Simple green with two teaspoons of windex. Before using the dremel I make sure to use the magic eraser first and keep the figure wet while lightly going over the big paint marks with the dremel then I use a soft toothbrush to go over the hard to reach spots like the face, hands armpits and inner thighs then wipe down with a paper towel not a cloth because cloth fabric sticks to the rubber figures. If the figures seem to lose there shine I will use a paper towel with a spray of tire wet…. This is just my way of doing it and I’ve had a lot of success . I resell so the extra 2-3 minutes it takes per figure is definitely worth it. I don’t ever touch up the paint.
