Women are always expected to stand by their husbands no matter what but the vice versa isn’t true. Women are always being pushed to get married even when research continues to show that marriage benefits men more than women. In fact, marriage is so beneficial to men that they have a married man premium that unmarried men don’t get which prevents them from having access to the same opportunities. For a long time, patriarchy has tried to gaslight women about the benefits of marriage but the mask is exposed now and it is very clear that, under the patriarchy, women only exist to validate men. Women are used to measure the worth of a man. Women are just tools used to play the patriarchal game. Then why are we wasting our time asking for equality under systems that don’t care for women’s humanity?
