ETHICALLY SPEAKING: INFUSING RESPONSIBLE CONDUCT OF RESEARCH ACROSS THE COLLEGE Tuesday, May 25, 2021 • 4 – 5 p.m. According to the NIH: The responsible conduct of research (RCR) is essential to good science. RCR promotes the aims of scientific inquiry, fosters a research environment that enables scientists to work together toward common goals and promotes public confidence in scientific knowledge and progress for the public good. However, there are several serious detrimental effects of research not conducted ethically and responsibly. Please join us to learn more about how we are approaching infusing RCR training among the student, postdoctoral research fellow, research faculty and staff populations to ensure we are in continual conversation to develop and maintain a culture of scientific integrity, which empowers researchers to hold themselves and others to high ethical standards. Presenter: • Rose Ann DiMaria-Ghalili, PhD, RN, FASPEN, FAAN, FGSA, associate dean for Interprofessional Research and Development • Dean Laura N. Gitlin, PhD, FGSA, FAAN, distinguished university professor and dean • Constance Perry, PhD, HEC-C, associate professor • Zachary Hathaway, BS, CIP, project manager, Interprofessional and Collaborative Research Presented by CNHP Research, Innovation and Discovery
