We got off on an early start from Brymner st and arrived at Tarbet in plenty of time for everyone to have a comfort break before boarding our ferry to Inversnaid the rain came on just as the ferry left so we all moved down to the lower cabin, by the time we arrived at Inversnaid the rain had stopped and that was the last we seen of it albeit the sky darkened a couple of times on the walk, after our usual checks and giving a brief description of the walk we headed of ...about 50 mins into the walk we stopped for a well deserved banana break at a pretty little picnic spot.. then it was off again heading for Doune bothy where we had our lunch break everyone was in good spirits as we set off again for the Dario Melaragni memorial post at the head of the loch the views from here are superb looking all the way down loch lomond ...the going was much easier for a bit now as we headed for Beinglas farm an excellent stopping point on the West Highland way .. on arrival there we all enjoyed some refreshment before setting off for the drovers inn at Inverarnan for our bus back to Tarbet. All in all it was good day out on a tough section of the west highland way. Distance was 7.5 miles though there was some debate about the distance some had 9 miles on their GPS don't quite understand how they get these variations ..if checked out on the map it is only 7.5 miles Lol !!...Everyone headed home tired but happy that they had done the walk.
