I've loved the Shergold Provocateur since I first laid eyes on it. For me, it's like the Tele/Les Paul hybrid that I always wished existed. The guys at Shergold very kindly sent me this guitar and I am so pleased to have it in my collection. I've loved their guitars since I first met the guys from the company back in 2018. I've owned another Shergold for a short while which I am also besotted with. The Provocateur is a super versatile single cut style guitar. It's got a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan SP90 Vintage in the neck. The combination of the vintage voiced humbucker and the P90 is incredible. If that isn't enough, you can also coil split the bridge pickup to turn it into a single coil. I chose the Battleship Grey colour but the guitar also comes in a few other colour options. The guitar is plugged into the Blackstar Studio 10 6L6 amp which I have mic'd with a Lewitt Audio LCT 440 PURE microphone. The only pedals that you hear are the Chevtone Messiah Drive and the Analogman King of Tone which I use for the overdriven tones in the video.
