Diospyros Lotus, the Date Plum species Persimmon

This is my Persimmon species Diospyros Lotus. The American Date Plum, bought unintentionally. This was meant to be a grafted Prok but as it turned out there was clearly no graft on the plant when it started growing the first season I got it. I would guess either rootstock got missed and the graft was never done, or the graft was done but failed and nobody noticed it was the rootstock that was growing. Either way it's interesting to have a species growing and I can always graft another variety onto it one day if I feel like it. The fruits on these are very small and acorn shaped, probably no larger than a small grape.
