MidSummer Milky Way | A Nightscape Journal | Night sky photography | Landscape astrophotography

Traditionally the Summer months aren't a good time to shoot the Milky Way in the UK. It never gets truly dark, and the stars are only visible for a few precious hours from very late in the evening. But a couple of weeks away from the Summer solstice, I headed out to the Norfolk coast in the UK - to Happisburgh beach - ready to enjoy a night under the stars next to the sea. And over the course of the evening, I think I proved that there's perfectly good astro to shoot even in the mid-Summer weeks. And that for some of that astro shooting, you have no choice but to get your feet wet.... ______________ I use this channel to share my experiences of being out in the landscape at night photographing the night sky. I want to inspire others to give it a go, and also provide a route for those who can't get out to enjoy some of the experience.
